What is an email POP account and email alias?

A POP email account is a private password protected email account. This is the same as your email from your ISP. An email alias is an email address which forwarded or directed to an existing POP account. Think of it as email forwarding. For example, the aliases info@your_domain.com will forward to the main POP account (or email account) your_name@.aol.com

Can you design my Site?

What are e-mail aliases?

An e-mail alias makes it possible to have e-mail forwarded from one address to another. Example: You could have e-mail that is sent to you@somedomain.com forwarded to you@someotherdomain.com. You could also have e-mail sent to info@somedomain.com forwarded to you@somedomain.com.

Do you provide a cgi-bin directory?

Yes, you have unlimited access to your own cgi-bin.

How long is it before my site is available on the internet?

Once you have updated your domain registrar it generally takes 24 to 72 hours before all of the name servers around the internet are updated.

I already have web-page hosted elsewhere. Can I move here?

Yes, just be sure to specify that you are requesting a transfer and not a new domain. You should keep the service with your current provider while waiting for Felix Technologies to complete the transfer process. We will provide you with a temporary IP address so you can mirror the site on our server. All e-mail and web pages will still be accessed from your current site. When Felix Technologies announces the completion of the transfer there is a 72 hour propagation period where visitors could go to either site. At the end of the 72 hours you should contact your previous host to have them delete the old domain from their records and update their DNS record. If you use this same provider for your Internet access you will not be able to access your domain site until they update their DNS. When we file a modification, one of the current listed contacts must ok the move. Felix Technologies will send an email that you must ok to have the redirection of your domain completed. If the contact email on your domain has changed from the time you originally registered it, you will need to fax a authorization to complete the process using a tracking number we will provide upon request.
